Description of Job	JOB PURPOSE Work through the development backlog, refactoring existing functionality, improving the scalability and robustness of our new B2C platform, and building new green field development projects. Write and integrate APIs using C# and Web API, whilst documenting their methodology and setup in Swagger to ensure consistency across all API builds Design and operate unit tests, integration test, smoke tests, etc. and use of consumer-driven contract testing and property-based testing using F# and FsCheck Conduct functional programming – particularly use of F#, when required Write code, drive improvements, manage pull requests and commits using Git, and determine deployment methods into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, this responsibility will be shared with other senior developers so that progress is not affected when you are not around Keep on top of service metrics, monitor and manage the information being logged to catch problems early and setup automatic alerts. You will control all aspects of security and performance for that service, using caching effectively with tools such as Redis and Me cache Help to review legacy systems currently in use and work with your team to determine the best course of action for them. Frequently this will involve a full refactor or development of an entirely new application/service to replace the current functionality Keep the work and projects, at all times, that you are involved with firmly within the scope of the architecture in place. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and share your opinions, ideas and vision with the Engineering Manager QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Applicants must be willing to work in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent. At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position Additional qualification in Software Engineering Minimum 5 years’ experience of building APIs from scratch using C# and WCF or Web API within an environment of significant complexity, preferably using service-oriented architecture (SOA) Strong understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns Proven record in conducting testing & running test scripts Experience in SQL Server databases & design principles is an advantage, but not mandatory Experience in influencing best practices & driving positive change is an advantage, but not mandatory Experience in the travel industry is an advantage, but not mandatory Strong skills in software development Knowledge on Agile methodology Demonstrable logical, creative and analytical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in.
