Description of Job
|
JOB
PURPOSE
- Work
through the development backlog, refactoring existing functionality,
improving the sociability and robustness of our new B2C/B2B platform
- Build
various desktop and mobile applications across our B2C and B2B travel brands
- Being
a key member of sprint cycles, discuss new features with your team and
provide feedback, ideas and suggestions to your Engineering Manager
- Work
with approved user stories, ensuring that the final product meets the
expectations of the Product Owner
- Work
on Angular code & also adopt React in all new projects
- Embrace
cutting-edge new technologies like Type Script and Flow, and functional
programming in Elm
- Create
and manage unit tests throughout the project life cycle to demonstrate that
your code works correctly
- Integrate
APIs, investigate the setup required and interpret the code as needed within
the project’s scope ensuring that any problems or conflicts that may arise
are reported immediately
- Build
APIs, when required, working closely with the back-end teams, to fit the
remit of a given project or build feature
- Provide
expertise to more junior engineers, mentoring other people on your team when
necessary and always driving the use of best practice in the projects you are
involved with.
- Liaise
with various teams and senior stakeholders, when necessary, to ensure that
all aspects of a project are well defined
QUALIFICATIONS
& EXPERIENCE
- Candidate
must be willing to work and relocate to Clark, Pampanga, Philippines
- Candidate
must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer
Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or
equivalent
- At
least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for
this position
- Minimum
3 years’ experience of using modern JavaScript framework
((React/Angular/Ember/Vue etc.)
- Strong
understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns
- Proven
record in conducting testing & running test scripts
- Experience
in leading a team especially development engineers
- Demonstrated
experience in problem solving & driving own solutions
- Experience
in the travel industry is an advantage, but not mandatory
- Strong
skills in software development
- Knowledge
on Agile other software development methodology
- Demonstrable
logical, creative and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills in English.
